(ดีกว่า often means "it's preferable")
ให้ means to give, but is often used in the sense of letting something happen.
เอามาให้ฉัน – Give it to me "bring give me"
หนังสือเล่มนี้คุณให้ฉันได้ไหม - Can you give me this book? "book volume this you give me can [question]"
ช่วยลดแอร์ให้หน่อยค่ะ – Could you reduce the air conditioning please "help reduce air-conditioning make-happen [little: polite softener]"
ใครบังคับคุณให้ทำ - Who coerced you? "Who forced you make-happen to-do?"
